Our Branch

The Norwich Branch is one of 200+ branches of the Royal Naval Association in the UK and abroad. It was commissioned in 1979 and today has a membership of just over 150; and is a registered charity in its own right – the registered Charity Number is 1068699.

We are one of the largest branches in Area 5 which covers East Anglia and our meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Canary Social Club, Thorpe Road, Norwich with meetings starting at 1930.

Attendance at meetings is encouraged however we also host a range of other events, trips and social gatherings, as well as attending commemorative and memorial parades; our members age span ranging from 21 to 99 years so we aim to accommodate everyone!

The Committee is made up as follows:
President and Vice President
Chairman and Vice Chairman (Both serving 2 years)
Secretary and Treasurer (Both serving 3 years)
All other Committee members (Serving 1 year)

Current holders of these posts can be seen on the website under the heading Branch officials and committee.

New members, both those who have served with the Royal Navy and any others in sympathy with the objectives of our association are assured of a warm welcome.
